magnetic resonance imaging

Today i got an MRI, weee. it was pretty cool. There were signs everywhere like this, like "the magnet is always on" or DANGER magnet!, i wonder what would happen if you went near the room with a lot of metal on. I had to fill out a form verifying that there wasnt any metal in my body, no implants, shrapnle, etc. but it really made me wonder...had i ingested anything metalic recently? ha I got to wear a cool hospital gown. crap its horizontal, i'll fix that later. All i have to say is its a good thing i'm not clausterphobic, cause its a pretty narrow tube that you have to lie in for like 30 minutes. i got to listen to music, and i fell asleep at the end of it. Its a lot of vibrating and kind of sounds like a jackhammer with different rhythms. fun times! Well i must take a nap, i've got a sleep over with nate and david tonight, and that means little sleep! so i've got to rest up!

taryn, i must say this is the most pleasant recall of a hospital experience iv heard in a long time! so often people (like me) turn their hospital visits into a 20 minute story about how unpleasant and horribly awful the service was and then theres the dreaded disgusting hosptial gown and the absolutely terrifying claustrophobic hole you have to slowly journey down (mri thingy) and the deafening beeps and fire-alarm-like noises once your in the machine and the end of their story always ends "goossshhhh i hate hospitals" .....i appreciate your joyful optomism! it inspires me:) -chalice
